Sea Ranch Lodge is one of the most unique venues I’ve been to in California. Sea Ranch is a developed community started in the 1960s by architect and developer, Al Boeke. The structures are modern style that work in harmony with the natural surroundings. In 2018 the Lodge was purchased by new owners to restore and update the venue. The lodge has many amenities such as a full bar, cafe, lounge, gift shop and post office.
The bride and groom shared a first look at a family private residence. There was an incredible view, cliffside with sparkling water and textured hills.
The tables were decked out with light pink runners, low arrangements of pink roses, succulents, and warm hued botanicals. Sage green linen napkins and keepsake wine stoppers finished off the setup.
The Lodge overlooks rustic barns, ocean waves and cedar plank decks that add to the modern meets nature aesthetic. Abalone shells filled with succulents decorated the cocktail tables and large globe-like paper lanterns were a focal point for the interior upstairs guest tables.
The couple incorporated their Jewish faith traditions led by their rabbi. It was a celebratory occasion filled with singing, dancing, challah bread and of course stepping on a glass under their chubbah at their ceremony.
The wedding day for C & Z was beautiful, sentimental and joyous at this hidden gem about 2 and a half hours northwest of San Francisco. Although the journey is long and winded (definitely recommend driving during the day), there is a peaceful atmosphere that is hard to come by and worth the drive past Bodega Bay. Mazel Tov!
