Living in the bay area comes with a lot of perks, one of them being the stunning locations we have access to. The Montalvo Arts Center is no exception. Built in 1912, this historic building is based in Saratoga, CA and about an hour south of San Francisco on the peninsula. I met up with Jenny and Glaudson for their pre-wedding photo session before their destination wedding on the Amalfi Coast.
A pre-wedding or post-wedding shoot is a perfect alternative to an engagement session for more formal portraits and for couples that are already married, but plan on having their celebration in a different location. The photos can be used for wedding websites, invitations, or thank you cards as well as prints for the home.
Italian Cypress line the path toward classic architecture past Montalvo’s iconic iron gate. I highly recommend going in the morning for the best lighting as this area can be lit quite harsh later in the day.
This structure is typically used for wedding ceremonies but is perfect for portraits with it’s timeless aesthetic.
