Nestled on the central coast of California in San Luis Obispo is Villa Loriana, an Italian-inspired venue that is perfect for transforming your special occasion into a dreamy destination getaway. The venue inspired us to imagine a colorful and romantic elopement with bountiful blooms and luxurious fabrics for the ultimate I Dos.
The details of the day comprised of vintage touches with a hint of delicate flair. The invitation suite featured an olive tree motif with an elegant gold wax seal.
The boudoir portraits were a bit moody and sensual which contrasted beautifully with the light and delicate details of the vintage slip and Vera Wang veil. Since she wore a colorful gown, the boudoir veil photos serve as a unique bridal moment to remember. The drop earrings are Marchesa and feature a double oval gold gem starburst design.
The groom wore a mauve suit with a crisp white shirt and mother of pearl cuff links. A pop of color on the boutonniere features greens, white and mauve florals.
The food was decadent and framed with flowers in an organic motif with gossamer and silk fabrics with candlesticks. A few loose florals compliment the tablescape with a romantic finish. The cake was the perfect size for an elopement and decorated with a delicate lace design.
One of the most magical locations at this venue is the grand ballroom. With dramatic velvet drapes and rustic patina on the walls, the space truly transports you to another world. Our cellist played love songs that created a dreamy atmosphere and added a one of a kind experience to this special day.
Noonan’s Designs pulled inspiration from our couple’s mauve and rose attire to complement the romantic backdrop. The bouquet and decor were filled with handpicked ranunculus, roses, and garden roses.
This floral setup by the waterfall was so fun and allowed for some creative moments with the bride. Since her Marchesa gown was embroidered with blossoms, she seamlessly blends into her surroundings.
At the end of the day for the “getaway” we were inspired by Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday. This charming tea length dress was paired with a vintage hat, gloves and cat eye sunglasses. We had the groom take off his blazer for a more casual look and added the bride’s bouquet to the front of the Vespa for a touch of whimsy.
