My first blog post and very special holiday greeting to you all! This has been a long time coming and believe me when I tell you I’ve put in the elbow grease to get this blog perfect for your reading enjoyment.
I’ve always wanted to have a space where I could tell my community about the adventures and misadventures behind photoshoots. Sometimes we brave some gruling weather and other times we are in very unusual places or positions to get the right shot.
I appreciate you taking the time to read these tales but also I want to share my wisdom I’ve gained over the years and share tips for aspiring creatives to add to their mental toolbelt.
At my previous job in tech, I worked as an event manager and everyone knew me for having this tool belt that had EVERYTHING just in case something went awry. I hope to prepare you with tips and give you an in-depth look at my life as a natural light professional photographer.
Lastly, I wanted to wish a sincere happy holidays to everyone. I know this year was rough for so many, and many people were negatively impacted whether it was being away from loved ones, health scares, financial strain, or bigger loss I cannot even fathom.
What I’ve gained through all of this is hope in the resiliency of myself and others. I’ve gained more appreciation in celebrating our differences and lifting up others who may not have a strong voice in our community. In the fact that love does find a way to make it work whether it’s a video call, a hand written letter, or a snuggle under a cozy blanket with a good book, show, or music. These little wins are still worth counting in what’s to come for this new decade of life.
I can’t wait to share new projects and more artistry in 2021. I can’t wait to capture your new chapters in love stories and life as it adjusts to new normals. As a newlywed who quoted from Star Trek in my vows, my wish to you is simply, “Live Long and Prosper.”
